What would you like to track?
Tool Tracker is built for error-proofing fastening sequences in real production environments.
This easy-to-install vision system mounts above the workstation and connects directly to your PLC via Profinet or Ethernet. Setup is fast and intuitive. Simply place the tool, with its affixed targets, where you want a fastening event to occur, click to define the work zone, and repeat for each step in the sequence.
As work is performed, Tool Tracker continuously verifies the tool position. The PLC automatically enables or disables each target based on whether it is in the correct zone, ensuring every fastening action happens in the right place, at the right time.
Freedom of motion
Fixed-mount cameras handle all tracking, so no physical connection to the target is required. Targets are fully passive, require no power, and support up to six degrees of freedom, giving operators complete freedom of movement during the fastening process.
Poka-yoke/ Mistake Proofing
When integrated with a PLC, Tool Tracker creates an in-process poka-yoke system. Targets are enabled only when positioned within the correct work zone, ensuring each fastening step is completed in the proper sequence and reducing the risk of missed or incorrect operations.
Ease Of Use
Tool Tracker makes setup fast and intuitive. Create fastening zones by placing the target in the desired location and clicking to define the work zone. Repeat for each step in the sequence, no complex programming required.
Field of View
Tool Tracker provides a large field of view, approximately 1.8 m × 1.2 m at ~2.0 m. This wide coverage maximizes camera overlap, enabling high tracking accuracy of ±1 mm across the workstation.
